6/4 Our last day in Texas was spent looking at beautiful Palo Duro Canyon.
                                              The RV is down there in the trees.

                                              We took a scenic hike in the morning.



       6/3 Moved up panhandle to just south of Amarillo, to Palo Duro St. Park

5/31 Went up into the panhandle to Caprock Canyon St. Park
                                            Beautiful red mountains that went for miles.

                                                    We took a few hikes to see the sites.

This bison was at the entrance to greet us. He also wandered down to the lake.
Took a group hike to learn about the area.
                                            Looking for funnel clouds, none were out there.

5/30 Went to Abilene to see mus. "Frontier Texas".
 
A museum with life-sized holographic figures talking about Texas between 1780-1880.

                                               Interesting story about life in the frontier.

5/29 At Lake Mineral Wells St. Park, just west of Fort Worth.
                                         View from out the back of our camp site.
                First we had to go across the spillway of the lake, abit scary, to get to camp site.

We had to go back across the spillway to leave.
                            Water is coming out of spillway wall. We are below the water line.




5/27 Dick got a set of longhorns at Traders Village swap meet.
                                           Deciding were to put his new horns.

5/27 Dallas, bbq and skyline of city.
                                     Went to 6th floor mus. and JFK memorial, interesting.


           Went to Wild Bills Western Store in Dallas.
