4/30 Went about 100 miles up from the gulf and west of Houston to Stephen Austin St. Park. It has lots of trees and bugs but is a nice stop over for a few days.
We are at the right side of the dark line and will go to the left side on Wed.
This is a historic stop that has old buildings and is close to the state park.

4/29 Walked around old downtown Galveston. They have buildings from the 1800's.

Went to this offshore oil rig mus. Interesting about how they get oil from under the ocean.

Getting birthday wishes from grandson, Skyler then off to eat seafood lunch.
Looked over a housing track. They all were in canals with boat docks.
Our last look at the the Gulf in Galveston
Birthday cheers and a last sunset over the bay

4/27 Went to the Johnson Space Center outside of Houston.
This is the real mission control center used for monitoring space missions.
This is Brian Duffy, a real astronaut who told us a real life account of a mission.
It takes lots of fuel to get into space.
 Could this be another astronaut?

 Pretending to be an astronaut.

We are both touching a real moon rock.

4/26 Made it to Galveston on the southeast side of Texas on the Gulf
They do like colorful beach houses
Our site at Galveston Island St. Park. It is on the bay side not the ocean since it is very windy there.
This is our view out the side window of the birds on the bay, nice.
4/24 Headed northeast about 100 miles to Lake Texana St. Park

Spent 2 days here. Very nice site overlooking water.

4/23 So we moved 5 miles east to Goose Island State Park. It is just great with the view, birds, butterflies, fish, and cool breeze. Can you see our view out the front window?

Love, love, love this spot on the Gulf.

We have a breeze, about 78 degrees, and just wonderful here.

4/19 Took a tour of King's Ranch that is 70 miles south of Corpus Christi.
King's Ranch is one of the largest ranches in the world with 800,000+ acres.
King's Ranch has long horn cattle and lots of horses.
This is outside Corpus Christi but looks like San Diego to us!
Looking southwest down South Padre Island.

4/18 Went a few hours more south to just east of Corpus Christi to RV park. We found the mosquitoes.

We are ready to get out, if needed, but think we are safe for now.
Took a free ferry boat ride to get to Mustang Island.
