5/17 Best spot yet at Inks Lake SP about 60 miles north west of Austin, still in middle of state.

5/17 Went on a tour of Longhorn Caverns, very pretty and interesting.

5/16 Visited Austin, took tour of capitol building. This is the front side which is at the end of the main street of the city.

                        This is the back side of the capitol where we got a parking space.

                                           Dick liked Willie Nelson street and figurine.

              Took tour of Austin this lake is downtown with great walking trails also.

                                     Tour also went to the hill county, got this skyline view.

5/15 Went onto Pedernales SP which has a great set of waterfalls. Unfort. they are about 1.5 miles away from campground.

                                             This is downstream from waterfalls.

                         Water was brown from recent rain. Site ok but too far from water.

     Another smaller waterfall that we hiked too. Nice wildflowers with D in background.

5/11 Visited Luckenbach Texas a very small town.

There is a dance hall and that is all of the town.

5/11 This is our site at RV park in Kerrville where we are with 35 other RVs at rally.

                                It rained all day on Thurs. but we had a great sunset.

We visited a cute German town, Fredericksburg. We wandered around and had a great lunch with hot german potato salad.

5/8 Moved on to this nice state park. Though the rv site was nothing special, the river was nice.

Here we are floating down a pretty section of the Guadalupe River. It was only about 20 inches deep which is really low for the river but nice for floating safely.

 This is looking upstream. About 30 kids had just gotten out so we had the river almost all to ourselves.
