5/26 Went to the downtown historic section of Ft. Worth called the Stockyard. This is were the cattle and other stock were herded too and then sold in the old days.

 The stockyard area is interesting . This is a maze that people can go through for fun.

 The sidewalks have stars for the famous cowboys/girls. This is the actor who wa the Lone Ranger.

                     These used to be the pens that held hogs and sheep, now they are toursit shops.

                         Skyline of Fort Worth, below is an interesting building in the city.

5/25 At Cedar Hill St. Park on Joe Pool Lake. Didn't get a lakeview site this time. 98 degrees and lost our a/c for a day and night. Just south of  Ft. Worth and Dallas.

 

                                                Big lake,  lots of boating and fishing.

                                                 Some sites have views but we didn't.

5/24 At Lake Whitney St. Park overlooking lake. Very windy with waves and whitcaps right now.

5/22 Park showing dinosaur models and tracks we saw of them in the river.

5/20 Had to move on, still seeing lots of wildflowers. Traveled about 130 miles north out of hill county. Have gone into Dinosaur Valley county.

5/19 Stopped by to eat at Blue Bonnet Cafe and got a famous pie

                            Took a hike, looked out over Inks Lake and many wildflowers.

 I cooled off in lake. (could still stand up)

5/17 Best spot yet at Inks Lake SP about 60 miles north west of Austin, still in middle of state.
